In this workshop, participants will design a circle book and a triangle book using folding techniques for signature pages.
Book covers will be cut from archival core board, and pre-cut wood circles will be covered with handmade paper. Techniques that will be demonstrated include measuring, cutting, and pasting board covers.
The signature pages will be folded paper. A Turkish map-folding technique will be demonstrated for the circle book, and the triangle book will be an accordion fold.
A variety of handmade papers will be provided for this class. Along with all other materials and tools.
NOTE:
We set our pricing to pay our instructors a fair wage and cover materials, but one of FBAC’s goals is to give access to the experience of all things bookbinding and printing to anyone who is interested.
