Join us for a fun day of crafting with your favorite book and the new local romance book sellers Periwinkle & Prose.

Bring your favorite book, or buy one from the Periwinkle & Prose pop up, and spend two hours bedazzling the cover. Enjoy some relaxing crafts while getting to know other readers and yap about what books you brought! You'll go home with a memorable shelf trophy, as well as additional bedazzling supplies if you choose to purchase them.

Enjoy this fun crafting collaboration and add sparkle to your bookshelf!

Supplies Needed

Bring your own book, books for purchase will be available day of. 

About the instructors: Periwinkle & Prose

Sara Belasco and Amber Trinkle are the co-owners of Periwinkle & Prose, a romance bookstore in Frederick. Amber is an extremely crafty person and amazing sewist, and Sara is a former librarian and book conservator with experience in many styles of bookbinding. We can't wait to bedazzle some books with you!

NOTE: 

We set our pricing to pay our instructors a fair wage and cover materials, but one of FBAC’s goals is to give access to the experience of all things bookbinding and printing to anyone who is interested. If you or someone you know would like to participate in a class but do not have the funding please reach out to contact@frederickbookarts.org and we will do what we can so no one has to miss out on the experiences we offer.
