One-on-One Beginner Letterpress Class

In this 4 hour class you will learn the rules of the typeshop, the way of the California Typecase, and the basics of use and care of the Vandercook IV letterpress. Each participant will be able to print and take home their own unique creation. 

Part one: Learn to distribute and set type

Part two: Learn to ready the press and to print

Part three: Learn to clean the press and put the type away

At the completion of the class you will become certified in the printshop and able to come and rent with supervision.
