Create a sculptural art piece in the form of a tunnel book with layers, conveying a sense of depth and drama. Option of adding lighting with use of LED lights. Construct something similar to one of the examples on the website, or use found images to make your own composition. We will work step-by-step online to make unique sculptures!
This class will be recorded.
Supplies needed by participants:
- Craft knife/blades and cutting mat or surface
- Scissors
- Card stock (65 lb cover) or heavier Bristol board:
- 1 sheet 70# text weight
- Pencil
- Metal ruler
- Glue stick
OPTIONAL if you happen to have these supplies for adding color to white paper:
(no need to purchase):
- Rubber stamp ink pads (2 or more colors)
- Two or more bristle brushes (for dry stippling)
- Bone folder
- Two small LED candles

Choose one of the following approaches for creating content:
- Copyright-free images, found imagery, or photocopy images approx 3x3" or smaller
- Three or more different rubber stamp images printed on card stock
- Extra thick foam sheet to create stamps for florals/leaves
NOTE:
We set our pricing to pay our instructors a fair wage and cover materials, but one of FBAC’s goals is to give access to the experience of all things bookbinding and printing to anyone who is interested.
